Yesterday we got to spend time with two wonderful families to do some family pictures. We had some challenges because it was the middle of the day. It was extremely hot and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky so it was super bright, but it was still fun.
One of the families was Matt’s friend John and his son. Aren’t these two are just a couple of cuties? Talk about a spitting image…
The other family was Christine and her three boys. They were so adorable, especially the little one. He just cracked me up! They were very well behaved but let’s face it… kids are NOT meant to sit still for pics! When asked if he wanted to have his picture taken, the little one straight up said “No!” Hey, I appreciate his honesty! : )

We had a surprise THIRD family show up and I just had to take a pic. These cute little ducks were swimming around with their mommy looking for food. I was a little worried that momma duck didn’t want me close to her babies, but she checked me out and saw that I wasn’t going to harm them. The thought did cross my mind that a duck would be a nice addition to our zoo at home, but I couldn’t break up such a cute pack of brothers and sisters. : )
Cute shots. It is really hard to shoot during the middle of the day…I was wondering how you were going to fit them all in this weekend and still obtain good lighting. Looks like you worked around it well. Look forward to seeing some more! :) – Beth
Matt set up these sessions. At least he learned that you don’t set up outdoor sessions in the middle of the day! I just love those last few hours before sunset. Some people don’t like the golden tones for photographing people but I love it!
Gwen & Matt, thank you so much for taking the time to snap a few shots of me and the boys. I love the individual shots and can't believe that you actually got a good shot of all of us…with smiles on our faces!! Can't wait to see the rest of them.

They were a bunch of cuties and very well behaved! Hopefully we can do this again when it gets a little cooler out and isn’t so bright. Wouldn’t it figure that Sunday was cloudy and probably would have been perfect for photos?!
