We first met Shannon & Dave back in 2008 when we shot their engagement photos in downtown Pittsburgh, and since then we’ve gotten to know them better and have been anxiously awaiting the BIG day! Sometimes I think we get almost as excited as the couple, especially when we’ve developed a relationship with them over such a long period! : )
After the anticipation, Shannon & Dave’s wedding did not disappoint! In fact, it was one of the funnest weddings we’ve ever shot! We may be biased, but we just think that no one quite knows how to party like people from the Burgh! So it only makes sense that this Pittsburgh wedding was one insanely fun celebration where everyone let loose!

Before you even see the photos, let me paint this picture for you… the theme was very Irish and very Pittsburgh. The wedding took place the weekend after St. Patrick’s Day (Shannon’s favorite holiday) and there were Irish elements throughout the wedding (including a rockin’ recessional to U2′s “Beautiful Day” – SAH-WEEET!!!). It was also the first weekend of spring, and we were blessed with GORGEOUS sunny weather! A week prior there were still piles of ugly snow/ice around but it all melted away before the big day! And last, but not least, in true Pittsburgh style there was some black and gold included in the wedding! Shannon wore a Pens garter and Dave and all the groomsmen put on Crosby jerseys once the formal photos were over. So you get an idea of how fun this wedding was! It was SO fun that guests from the other wedding going on at the Georgetown Centre came over and crashed Shannon & Dave’s wedding! Seriously! We definitely had the best DJ and the room was rockin’, so who can blame them? Ah, good times!
The highlight of the wedding was probably Shannon & Dave’s son, Dayton. He really stole the show, especially when he sang and danced to 3 Michael Jackson songs at the reception. Oh, did I mention that he’s only 3 years old?!?!?! Yeah! It was HILARIOUS! Be sure to watch the outtakes at the end of the slideshow! I promise you won’t want to miss it! : )
