We’re so excited to share this beautiful Persian wedding at the Sawgrass Marriott. It was an elaborate celebration with tons of music and dancing that continued until 2am!
As the girls downstairs getting hair and makeup done, the guys were in the suite getting ready. I was excited to work with makeup artist Paulina Perez again, and she created a bold look for the bride’s eyes with gold and black. The wedding began with an intimate ceremony with only family in attendance. For this part of the wedding, the bride and groom wore traditional clothing (absolutely gorgeous, isn’t it?!).
As they went to change into their reception attire, guests began to arrive at the reception ballroom decorated with gold and white throughout. When the bride and groom made their entrance, they were seated on a white sofa on a stage, and they were the king and queen of the evening. At this time, there were some more ceremonial aspects such as an exchange of rings, reading from the Holy book, the application of henna, and various wedding dances. Guests came up to the stage to greet the bride and groom and also shower them with gifts. To entertain their guests, they had singer Habib Qaderi perform for the entire evening. He has the most beautiful voice, and at the end of the evening everyone went over to get a picture of him. So we had to ask… is he famous? Yeah, just slightly. They said he was the Persian Michael Jackson. Definitely check him out!
At the end of our 12 hour day, we were so sore that we could hardly stand but it was bittersweet to see it come to an end. What a beautiful event with a very sweet couple! We stayed until about 2:30am as the newlyweds said goodbye to their guests, and we are so glad we did because the last image is from a sweet moment between the bride and her grandfather where he ties a green ribbon around her waist. This made my heart melt!
We thank the couple and their families for letting us be a part of such a special day! We enjoyed learning about your traditions and celebrating this day with you! May you both have a long life together full of happiness!

My dear Nielah and Anis, what an Amazing evening and what a beautiful couple. Nielah, you were simply stunning. We had a wonderful time. Simply the best wedding—Everything was excellent….the venue (what an incredible hotel!), food, entertainment (may I say I heart Habib Qaderi), dancing, cake, and the list goes on and on. I felt like royalty, and you two were definitely the King and Queen of the night. Makes me want to get married all over again (to Parwaiz of course :)). The kids menu rocked! We loved the chicken fingers and mac & cheese. Let’s do this again sometime.
