Matt and I just got home from our road trip to Connecticut for Christmas (yes, I said road trip – and it’s a long one!). But we enjoyed the cold weather and during our trip we got to meet up with a truly amazing couple for an engagement session! I can’t wait to tell you who Stacey & Adam are and a little about how we met, but before I get some much needed sleep I had to post a sneak peek! More to come next week! : )

Sneak Peek: Erin & Jason | Downtown Jacksonville Engagement Photos | Jacksonville Wedding PhotographersDecember 18, 2011
Yesterday we met up with Erin & Jason for their engagement photos in downtown Jacksonville, and all I can’t wait to share them because they are so hot! Erin & Jason just rocked the entire session! It was so hard to choose a photo for the sneak peek, but Matt and I both loved this one. I’m sure I will have 20 different favorites before I’m done editing these!
We hope this sneak peek leaves you wanting to see more!! : )
Featured in Destination Weddings & Honeymoons Magazine | Lisa & Omar’s Moon Dance Cliffs Wedding PhotosDecember 15, 2011
It’s so hard to keep a secret, especially one this amazing, but now we can finally share the great news! Our super hot couple Lisa & Omar had their destination wedding at Moon Dance Cliffs in Negril, Jamaica featured in the Jan/Feb 2012 issue of Destination Weddings & Honeymoons magazine!!! I remember when I called Lisa to tell her the good news. I reached her voicemail, and I thought I was going to burst because I was soooo anxious to tell her that their dream of having their wedding in a magazine was coming true. When she called back, she couldn’t believe it! She even admitted that she wasn’t having the best day, but everything turned around when she heard the news!
Lisa & Omar had an intimate and very stylish wedding at Moon Dance Cliffs overlooking the ocean. Their wedding was personalized with handcrafted items found on Etsy, and everything tied together so beautifully! You can view more of their wedding photos in our previous blog posts:
It’s hard to choose a favorite part of the day, but I was particularly in awe of the fire dancer. It was such a special surprise that Lisa & Omar presented to their guests, who had traveled so far to celebrate with them!
Destination Weddings & Honeymoons is such a great resource for anyone planning a destination wedding (or, better yet, a honeymoon!)! Make sure to check out their recommendations for the Best Honeymoon Destinations for 2012!
It definitely was a source of inspiration when we planned our destination wedding! It also has a special place in our hearts because Destination Weddings & Honeymoons was the first magazine to ever feature one of our weddings! Last year, they featured Stacey & Mike’s Nassau destination wedding at Old Fort Bay in their October 2010 issue! We are so honored to have another wedding featured in this inspiring publication!
We’re excited about the destination weddings we’ll have to share with you in 2012, but this year is certainly one that we will never forget! We can’t wait to see Lisa & Omar over the holidays so we can give them a copy of the magazine (and see their gorgeous faces)! : )
Here’s a peek at the magazine (LOVE the cover with the cute little burro):
Lisa & Omar’s tablescape was also featured among an inspiring collection of destination wedding ideas. Their “seaside chic” setting included long tables overlooking the stunning cliffs and the ocean. Long tables are such an elegant and intimate choice for a wedding reception!
December is such a gorgeous time for engagement photos in Florida! On the day we met up with Hannah & Mark for their engagement photos at Big Talbot Island, it had been foggy and chilly most of the morning. But by the time we reached this gorgeous state park, the weather couldn’t have been better!
Hannah & Mark are new to north Florida, so we wanted to bring them to a place that is truly one of this area’s treasures. Big Talbot is pristine and untainted, and the landscape on the beach is unlike any other! Such a unique setting was perfect for this adorable couple. They were so natural, playful, and sweet together and we had so much fun hanging out with them and watching how excited they are about celebrating their engagement! If only we could bottle up all that love and share it with the whole world! Everyone should be this happy and in love!
We may not be able to contain their joy in a bottle, but hopefully their sweet smiles will brighten your day! Hannah & Mark, we hope that every day is filled with this much happiness in your lives! : )
We have the perfect wedding to get you in a holiday mood! We are completely loving Suzanne & Scott’s gorgeous winter wedding at The Hilliard Mansion! This wedding is packed with sweet southern charm (complete with mason jars, burlap, lace, and a barn reception). Mix that with purple and green wintery elements (including a hot chocolate bar!! Love!!) and you have one of the cutest weddings imaginable! And really, who cannot fall in love with a wedding where the couple brought a tree stump to sit the programs on? Pure awesomeness!
From the moment we heard Suzanne & Scott’s love story, we became huge fans of theirs! Like we were literally cheering them on! And it’s clear that their family and friends are all cheering them on, too! From all the tears and smiles on their wedding day, it’s clear that they are very much loved by everyone and family and friends are of the highest importance to them. And while all the cute decorations and pretty lights make this wedding visually inspiring, it’s the couple that truly makes this wedding beautiful!
We had such a great time shooting this wedding and getting to know such a wonderful couple! We hope that you’ll always remember all the little moments that made this day perfect! Congratulations Suzanne & Scott!

Over Thanksgiving weekend, we met up with Rachel & Dylan (and sweet baby Emma) for some engagement photos in downtown Columbus, GA. They are the cutest little family, and the charming town of Columbus was such a great setting for their shoot! We fell in love with the old buildings that have been lovingly re-purposed for high end condos, businesses, and shops in the downtown area. We were in awe of the dam and pumphouse, with tons of water pouring out into the river (which, by the way, is the cleanest river I think I have ever seen). It was a great setting to get to know more about Rachel & Dylan and the adorable city that they now call home!
We love everything about this session! Rachel & Dylan are so cute together, and the distressed walls of the old mills and the vintage blue bus were a photographer’s dream! We can’t wait to see you both again next spring for your sunny Florida destination wedding!! : )
Leigh Anne & Patrick | St. Augustine Destination Wedding at the White Room | St. Augustine Wedding PhotographersDecember 6, 2011
We’ve been looking forward to Leigh Anne and Patrick’s wedding for so long, and we think you’ll agree that this special day was worth the wait! They are the absolute sweetest people you will ever meet and so head over heels in love with each other!
The best way to tell their story is to actually borrow from Patrick’s sister, Natalie, who introduced them. As she told everyone during her toast, growing up with brothers, she always wondered what kind of women would become her sister-in-laws. And now she can’t be any more thrilled than to have her best friend, Leigh Anne, officially become a part of her family (to which Patrick said “Thanks for that!”).
Leigh Anne and her bridesmaids got ready at the gorgeous Westcott House. Leigh Anne’s purple heels were incredibly stylish, her jewelry elegant and tasteful, and her dress so incredibly beautiful. But our favorite detail was her grandmother’s garter! While she and her ladies were getting ready, Patrick and the guys were a few miles away. Patrick wanted a classic “James Bond” look and had a very elegant tuxedo with a bowtie and purple socks that matched Leigh Anne’s shoes.
They decided to do a first look at the Lightner Museum. As Patrick waited on a gorgeous stone bridge overlooking the koi pond, Leigh Anne slowly walked up behind him, finally tapping his shoulder for him to turn around. They both had a complete look of joy and happiness as they looked each other up and down. It was a perfect moment!
Traveling from North Carolina for their nuptials, they chose a wedding location that highlighted all the charm of The Oldest City. They held their wedding at the White Room on the rooftop overlooking the marina and the Bridge of Lions. The ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt, with many tears and smiles. As Leigh Anne and Patrick’s ceremony ended, a gorgeous rainbow appeared in the sky. Leigh Anne’s grandmother had passed away this year, so everyone said that the rainbow was a sign that her grandmother was smiling down upon Leigh Anne and her wedding. (Feel free to pause to get tissues!)
The reception was the perfect mixture of relaxation and party. When the night finally came to a close, Leigh Anne and Patrick boarded a carriage to take them for a ride around downtown St. Augustine and the thousands of white lights that were on display for the holidays. Luckily for us, they made a quick stop back at the Lightner Museum to do a few more evening photos with all of the twinkling lights (and some sparklers!).
Now that they’re back from their honeymoon, we’re so excited to share some of their wedding photos! I hope you’ll forgive us for posting a few more than usual, but we are big LA & Pat fans and it was such a gorgeous wedding! Leigh Anne and Patrick, you are a special couple and we wish you many long years of joy and happiness!

Anyone who was outside on Sunday knows that it turned out to be a beautiful day, and it was perfect for Hannah & Mark’s engagement session! This adorable couple is fairly new to the area, so we’re glad that they got to see one of those amazing December days in Florida where the weather is in the 70s! Remembering days like this one will make you appreciate Florida during the brutal summer months! : )
Really, could these two be any cuter? Love this shot!
Suzanne & Scott’s wedding at the Hilliard Mansion last night was A-MA-ZING! They had a cozy and intimate winter theme and everything was beautiful! But even though it had an intimate feel, don’t think it was quiet by any means! It was a full on PARTY!
The newlyweds are currently on their honeymoon, so all we have for you right now is a sneak peek. But we’ll have tons more of their Hilliard Mansion wedding photos on the blog next week!! Seriously loving everything about this wedding!! : )
We love to share the story of our couples and about the special moments of their wedding day, but sometimes the photos just say it all. I look, and I remember the excitement and anticipation as Claire was getting into her dress and heading to the church. The tears in Oliver’s eyes as Claire walked down the aisle. Their smiles. Their laughter. The warmth and love felt in the room as everyone came together to celebrate the marriage of two amazing people. Sure, I can tell you what it was like to be there and how special that day was, but I really think the photos say more than words can.
The day began in Chino Hills with the wedding at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. It was a little chilly and windy, but once we headed out to the coast Claire & Oliver were blessed with sunny skies and the most incredible sunset! The reception took place at the stunning Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, and again I think my words get lost when I try to tell you how beautiful it was (especially the sunset). The sky went from blue when we arrived, then looked hazy and dull before revealing hints of purple and yellow and finally exploding with vibrant hues of blue, purple, pink, orange, and yellow! Not only was it gorgeous, it also matched their wedding colors! : )
Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour outside as the sun set before entering the reception room illuminated by blue and purple lights. They partied the night away on the dance floor, taking breaks to jump into the photobooth and watching a slideshow of Claire & Oliver through the years. And, of course there was a money dance! It must have gone on for an hour! Eventually everyone just jumped in!
We welcome Claire & Oliver back from their honeymoon and hope that everyone enjoys these highlights from their beautiful wedding day, including the slideshow at the end. Thank you both for letting us share this day with you and for inspiring the world with your love for each other! <3
