We are so thrilled to share all the gorgeous details from Cory & Tyler’s wedding at The Keeler Property! Here’s a peek at what to expect! Ah!! : )

Matt and I had such a great time at The Wedding Exhibit Bridal Show yesterday! It was our very first time doing a bridal show, and I think we chose the right one! The producers of the show were fantastic and so were the staff! They helped us unload all of our stuff from our 14′ U-Haul truck and also helped us load it back up at the end of the show. I don’t even want to know how long that would have taken just the two of us to do! So thank you so much to The Wedding Exhibit for making the show such a great experience!

We also had a great time seeing some of our vendor friends there (though we didn’t get nearly enough time to go say hello to everyone). We also met several new wedding vendors at the show! Our booth was located across from Riverside Tours and Travel. I’m not sure if that was intentional, but it sure was an ideal match up since we travel for about 40% of our weddings and we just love to travel in general! We’re looking forward to working with them on a few things! We were also across from Kelly’s Bloom Room, which had one of the most beautiful displays at the show! So when we weren’t looking at our own booth (which we think kinda rocks) we were looking at gorgeous photos of the Caribbean and a huge display of orchids! Can’t beat that!

We also had the opportunity to interact with a lot of brides and grooms and their family and closest friends who attended the show with them! Meeting everyone was the highlight of our day, especially connecting with brides who have followed our website and Facebook page! We’re looking forward to meeting with so many of you over the next few weeks and hearing even more details about your wedding day!

We also want to thank everyone who came out to our studio Open House on Saturday! We so love and appreciate all of you, and it warmed our hearts to see some familiar faces and some new ones! We love seeing our couples’ families grow! <3 I know some of you couldn't make it to the Open House or the bridal show, but we appreciate your support! And since everyone keeps asking for photos, here they are! : ) First, we have a couple pics of us and our booth at the bridal show:

Anyone who has been to our studio will recognize the setup above, because we basically packed up part of our studio and moved it to the Prime Osborn! Here’s our meeting space at the studio:

When we first got the keys, the walls were light brown and it was one big open space. One day I told Matt my vision. I wanted him to build a partition wall so that the meeting space would be separate and would feel like an art gallery. Oh, and I wanted it to be portable so we could break it down and bring it to bridal shows! At first he thought I was crazy, and he was probably right, but eventually he liked the idea!

This is our shooting space, which is still a work in progress. We just received our newest backdrop, so hopefully we’ll have it set up tomorrow! We also have a wardrobe and prop area in there now with some fun accessories for Pillow Book Boudoir sessions!

In addition to building a portable partition wall, one of our biggest projects was reupholstering my antique settee, which used to be in my home office. I had never reupholstered before, but I wasn’t ready to let this adorable piece of furniture go. I’m so glad I didn’t because after much attention, patience, and time it has transformed into such a gorgeous piece! I think it makes our meeting space! You can see the old fabric vs. the new here:

It’s crazy to see it all come together the way it has, but we just love our space! It’s cute and cozy and has a ton of character. As someone put it this weekend at the open house, it looks like our website! We think it’s a reflection of our work!

We still have more exciting changes coming, including our new logo and marketing pieces. But we’re excited to share our biggest project with you! We’d love for you to stop by the studio and visit! : )

We hope you enjoyed Part 1 of Stacey & Adam’s gorgeous wedding at St. Sebastian Church in Middletown, CT! We are so excited to continuing sharing photos from Part 2 of their wedding at The Woodwinds, in Branford, CT!

The reception was full of laughter and even some happy tears! It was so appropriate that they ended the day with “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing, because everything about the day was so memorable and turned out the way they dreamed it would! As the song began, Stacey & Adam started the way they danced in the movie. Then they started laughing and singing along. They hadn’t actually learned all the choreography, though the thought briefly crossed their minds.

With their wedding day coming to a close, and with the inspiration of their last song playing, they decided to take a leap and do something daring. Like, literally! Just like the epic moment in the movie when Baby leaps into Johnny’s arms, Stacey went running toward Adam (unrehearsed!!) and he lifted her into the air! Jaws DROPPED! It was amazing and unexpected! When Adam brought Stacey back down, he swung her around in his arms and she was just beaming! How do you end the perfect wedding day? In style! BAM!!! I have to say it was pretty epic!

Stacey & Adam, congratulations on your marriage and on your dream wedding! I know you are still smiling from what a wonderful time you had, and I hope you will always feel this way when you think about your wedding day! Thank you for letting us be a small part of making it memorable! : )

It must have been fate that had Stacey stumble upon our blog and contact us. And it just so happens that she and Adam live in my hometown of Middletown, CT! How crazy is that? It was meant to be, right? We first met them in person over the Christmas holidays when we did engagement photos in Middletown. Right then and there, we knew they were a special couple, so we couldn’t wait for their wedding day to arrive.

Stacey and her ladies got ready at her mom’s house, enjoying mimosas and getting their hair and makeup done. Stacey had not one, but TWO amazing dresses! She was dazzling! Meanwhile, Adam and the guys were getting ready back at their house, just hanging out and joking around. With the crisp Connecticut air and blue skies, the day was just perfect!

Stacey & Adam held their wedding at St. Sebastian Church. If the ornate design of St. Sebastian reminds you of a church in Italy, that’s because the church was formed by Sicilian immigrants from the town of Melilli and the design was influenced by the town’s Basilica San Sebastiano. It was a stunning place for a ceremony!

After the ceremony, the wedding party headed off for wedding photos at Wesleyan University. The Russell House made a gorgeous setting with its beautiful pillars and white walls.

We’re so excited to welcome back Stacey & Adam from their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic! It looked absolutely amazing!! We have tons of photos to share from their wedding at St. Sebastian Church in Middletown and their reception at The Woodwinds in Branford, CT. There’s so much to share that we may even have to do it in two parts! But before we do, we want to give you a little peek of what’s to come!

It is with great enthusiasm that I announce to you that I am officially launching my line of boudoir photography called Pillow Book Boudoir (SM)! Though I’ve been shooting boudoir for a couple years, it has only been by request and on location until now. With the opening of the studio, I will be scheduling sessions throughout the week and limited sessions on weekends. I’ve had so much fun finding accessories and props in antique stores and online (I’m waiting for a fun piece to arrive from the UK now). We always have a blast at our boudoir sessions, which include getting dolled up with hair and makeup while you enjoy a glass of bubbly before your fun, flirty, and glam photo shoot!

I was so excited when I learned about The Oceanside Bride wedding blog, because any bride who has planned (or even considered) a beach wedding knows that half of the fun is planning the details! When my cousin Melissa and her fiance Brian came down to Florida for her destination wedding at Barefoot Beach (what a great name!) I knew The Oceanside Bride would be a perfect fit for her wedding! I adore all of the starfish details, including the arch, chair decorations, and the escort “cards” that she created! What a cute way to tie everything together (and an awesome wedding favor for the guests)!

We love to end the week with some happy news, so we’re excited to share with you that GTP has recently been recognized by two incredible awards! The first was announced on January 23rd, but we wanted to wait until the plaque arrived to make the announcement! Now we can officially say that Gwendolyn Tundermann Photography is a Knot Best of Weddings 2012 Pick! This one means soooo much to us because it’s based on the amazing reviews received from our brides and grooms! So thank you to everyone who left us sweet love notes on The Knot! Then yesterday we received some news that we were selected for the Editor’s Choice Award from Two Bright Lights! The 2012 Two Bright Lights Editors’ Choice Awards is a signature program that recognizes photographers and vendors within the Two Bright Lights community whose number of published features in 2011 placed them among the top 5% of all Two Bright Lights members. Winners were published across many of the most respected lifestyle, wedding and other print and digital publications in the United States and worldwide.

So we are thrilled to receive this award as well! We love that our brides and grooms have their gorgeous wedding photos featured in magazines and on blogs because they inspire other brides! I have to admit that it’s pretty cool to be recognized within the wedding industry, but obviously we just LOVE what we do and we always want to work harder to make sure our couples have a wonderful experience and happy memories that they can reflect on in pictures 10, 20, 30… + years to come! That is the absolute greatest reward! : )

There are a lot of changes going on over here at GTP! We’re getting ready to launch two new brands of photography and a new service for weddings that we KNOW you are going to love, plus we have some product changes coming your way! I am particularly excited to announce our new Luxe Album! This album is FANCY! You can choose from unique textured covered materials like alligator (pictured in our sample below), ostrich, baroque, and more! The cover can be customized with one or two fabrics and a variety of layouts. Ooh, the fun we are going to have designing these!! : )

To introduce our new album, we are offering a 25% off sale for any of our albums during the month of March. So if you haven’t already ordered an album (but wish that you had) then you definitely want to take advantage of this because it will be the ONLY album sale this year! ALL of our albums are available in 10×10 or 12×12 size and have the same exact design process. The layouts are all panoramic prints on archival photo paper. We begin with a draft of your album design to give you a place to start, and then you can make changes to make sure the layout is exactly the way you want.

The difference between the albums primarily comes down to two things – binding and page thickness. Our Coffee Table Book has thin pages while the Classic and Luxe albums have thick mounted pages. The Coffee Table Book has a photographic hard cover or simple leather cover (no image). The Classic Album includes your choice of high quality fabric or leather and a cameo image. The Luxe Album include two fabrics or leather and a cameo on the cover.

Below are some examples of the different types of albums, but the best way to decide which album is right for you is to schedule an appointment to see them in person at our studio!

The Luxe Album
The Luxe Album is a flush mount album with luxurious cover options. Customize with two different specialty fabric materials or exotic leathers in a variety of layouts for an album that is uniquely you! Available with or without a cameo image.

The Classic Album
The Classic Album is a flush mount album hand crafted by artisans and made with the highest quality materials and construction. Cover options include your choice of fine fabrics and leathers with a recessed cameo image.

The Coffee Table Book
The Coffee Table Book is a magazine style book printed on archival photo paper with your choice of photographic hardcover or rich Italian leather cover. Cameo images are not available with the leather cover.
