As Tracy got ready for the wedding in her suite high above the St. Johns River downtown, storm clouds could be seen in the distance. Everyone continually checked the Weather Channel for updates, but Tracy remained calm as could be. No matter what the weather brought, she would be marrying Dennis, and nothing was going to ruin her day.

We made our way to the Haskell Building, and there was a break from the rain. Tracy & Dennis decided to do a first-look before the ceremony, so we knew at least that we would get a few photos outside before the storms return. We picked out a quiet little spot underneath a willow tree. Tracy quietly approached Dennis until telling him to turn around. They were both speechless for a few seconds, taking each other in and smiling, before finally moving towards each other to hug. You could tell that they were both so happy that their wedding day had finally arrived!

A couple drops of rain started to fall, and we rushed inside. Thankfully, the rain didn’t last for long and held off long enough for the ceremony to be performed outside. As Tracy & Dennis sealed their vows with a kiss, the sun appeared from behind the clouds, as if to give its blessing!

Yesterday was a gorgeous day for Ashley & Zoiner’s wedding at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club! As if the day wasn’t perfect enough, the evening sky presented a spectacular display of the moon – the closest it will be to Earth in 2012! What a beautiful gift!

Ashley & Louis’s wedding at Nocatee’s Crosswater Hall was one of the sweetest weddings we’ve ever been part of! I don’t think we’ve ever photographed a wedding with quite so many tears! Their wedding was full of so much emotion, and seeing Louis fight back his tears as Ashley walked toward him with her own tears streaming, it was hard not to just break down and cry myself! So with a few deep breaths, I clicked away and captured the most precious wedding photos of two people very much in love with one another!

Nocatee is a gorgeous place for a wedding! Ashley said when she saw it, she KNEW it was the place she wanted to get married! The wood beams inside Crosswater Hall give it a quaint and intimate feel, and the windows that line the room fill it with gorgeous light! Oh, and you just have to loooooove the Bride’s Room with a huge mirror that goes up to the ceiling! What a perfect place for the bride to get ready!

A beautiful setting, a perfect spring wedding, and a happy ending! That’s what fairytales are made of! Congratulations Ashley & Louis! : )

It was a gorgeous weekend on the Gulf Coast of Florida for Rachel & Dylan’s wedding in Port St. Joe! Nothing beats a wedding where the sun is hot, the drinks are cold, and your toes are in the sand! We had such a great time and want to wish Rachel & Dylan a wonderful honeymoon this week! Congratulations!! : )

We had some crazy weather in Jacksonville (and all across Florida) yesterday! Giant storm systems from the Gulf and to the south of us all threatened to ruin Tracy & Dennis’s plans for a gorgeous outdoor wedding in downtown Jacksonville. But thanks to Tracy’s rain dance the rain stayed away and the sun made an appearance during the ceremony! It was absolutely gorgeous, and their day was truly blessed! The rain eventually came, but by then everyone was safe inside enjoying cocktails and dancing the night away!

Help us send wishes of sunny skies to Tracy & Dennis for their honeymoon this week! We hope you both have a great time! : )

Yesterday was a perfect spring day for Ashley & Louis’s wedding at Nocatee’s Crosswater Hall! It was definitely one of the sweetest weddings we’ve ever been part of! There were so many happy tears from both the bride and the groom! I just love this moment captured by Matt immediately after the ceremony. Louis whispered something to Ashley and she just couldn’t hold back the emotion! Only the two of them know what was said in that special moment, and that’s why I just love this series of images!

We are beyond excited to finally announce the launch of our new line, Aroo! Pet Photography℠! Before we opened the studio, we planned what we would use the space for. I wanted a space for shooting boudoir sessions, and I launched Pillow Book Boudoir℠ in March. I’m putting the final touches on the sets before our shoots begin later this month!

Matt wanted to do pet photography, so he developed the idea for Aroo! The name Aroo came from our dog, Peanut. One day, Gwen decided to teach Peanut to howl. Never expecting him to actually mimic her, there was a hysterical outbreak of laughter when he actually did! You have to picture our little pom Peanut, who is about 7 pounds of fluff, howling like a big boy! So from that day, we started calling him Mr. Aroo.

We finalized the logo design last week with our friend Christina of Moon Gypsy Designs. We just love the little tag hanging from the A and how the “roo” part is emphasized the way that Peanut would say it – A-ROOOOO!

We met Sarah & Glenn in December at Suzanne & Scott’s wedding at The Hilliard Mansion. You couldn’t help but notice them because they spent most of the evening tearing up the dance floor! After spending the day with them shooting their engagement photos in St. Augustine, we know that they are always the life of the party!

I think all the kisses and smiles say it all! Sarah & Glenn are completely in love and also the best of friends! We had a fun time strolling through the streets of the Oldest City with them talking about the wedding, home projects, and everything in between! I’m not sure if you are aware, but St. Augustine is like the Bermuda Triangle. There’s a certain area that if you walk past you’ll disappear for a while and come back out and its nighttime. It always seems to happen off Charlotte street near Stogies! LOL!

It’s safe to say we had a good time during their engagement session, and we’re very excited about their wedding this spring! Can’t wait to share more pics of this sweet couple! : )
