On Friday night, we went to a charity softball game to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation between Jag Nation (as if their fan base is national hahaha) and Steeler Nation (represented by our local JAXBAG club). It was a lot of fun. They had a handful of spectators and we outnumbered them 4 to 1 easy. We had an early lead of 12-4 but somehow we lost it and they came back to win by one point. As true fans, we still cheered and chanted even though we lost.

On Saturday, we had our fan rally at Chicago Pizza (where we watch the games every week). It was a blast! My dad and my brother came up from Orlando to hang out:

I also got to see the ladies of Sports Fan-A-Chicks from Atlanta. They travel for games more than I do. : )

Even though it was fun to see old friends and meet some new ones, the highlight of the event was Greg Lloyd’s appearance. He spent over 2 hours signing autographs for fans:

He also participated in a charity dunk tank to benefit Urban Jacksonville’s Meals On Wheels:

We also had a surprise appearance by Ernie Mills and Eric Green. They just heard about the party and came to hang out!

We had such a great time. I’ll have more to report on Monday. Right now we are heading out to breakfast with the other SCM bosses and then getting ready to go tailgate!

Go Steelers!!!!
