Last month, there was one evening with a sunset like no other – warm hues of yellow, orange and red that looked more like a painted canvas than an actual sky. On that day, we happened to be fortunate enough to be out shooting an engagement session with Andrea & TJ in the perfect area to capture that amazing sunset! It was a perfect, romantic ending to a gorgeous photo shoot and now the story comes together in their slideshow below!

We are so excited about their wedding at the US Naval Academy next year! They just confirmed their wedding date this week (as you can imagine, there is a HUGE demand for weddings in the chapel)! We’re so thrilled that they were able to get the date that they wanted! Congratulations!! Now the madness of wedding planning can truly begin!

We’ll have to wait a year for the next chapter in Andrea & TJ’s love story, but until then we hope you enjoy more from their engagement!

Jamie & Bill describe their style as a couple as laid back. When it came time to plan their dream wedding, they knew they wanted it to be intimate, stress-free, and fun! With this vision in mind, they chose to plan a destination wedding in Ponce Inlet, FL with a big reception back home in Minnesota!

Everyone wants beautiful weather on their wedding day, but this is even more true for couples planning a destination wedding. Fortunately, Jamie & Bill’s wedding day was blessed with slightly cooler temps and bright, sunny skies! We stopped by the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse for a few photos before the ceremony. What a gorgeous location!

The ceremony took place on a nearby beach and the jewel tones of the water perfectly matched the bridesmaids’ dresses! There were several times when birds decided to fly by and check out what was going on (check it out below). How cool is that?!

Jamie & Bill, we hope that your destination wedding turned out the way you hoped it would! We wish you all the best and hope that you have a wonderful time at your reception next weekend!! : )

When you meet a couple for the first time, you try to get a sense for how they are as a couple. Are they romantic, sappy, silly, cute? When we met Michelle and Josh for the first time, they gave off a very laid-back, relaxed feel. Talking to them felt like chatting with old friends we had known for years.

We were so excited to get a chance to meet Michelle & Josh during our trip to Texas. They chose to do their engagement photos in historic downtown Plano. We chatted over a few tasty hefeweizens at The Fillmore Pub, getting to know all about how they met, why they decided on a destination wedding, favorite movies, and more! After hanging out for a bit, we moved down the street to Haggard Park, which has a gorgeous bridge, a cute gazebo, and a very cool, restored railway car which is part of the Interurban Railway Museum. Haggard Park gave us an opportunity to take some fun, relaxed shots. One of the cutest moments was when Michelle and Josh just lay in the grass and joked with each other!

We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to meet Michelle and Josh in Plano and can’t wait to photograph what will be a beautiful destination wedding in Hilton Head, SC next spring! Michelle & Josh, congrats and we’ll see you soon!
