It was a crazy day with Tropical Storm Beryl approaching. It was supposed to hit here in Jacksonville and then make it’s way up the coast to South Carolina, so we didn’t know what to expect when we got to Charleston. After checking the weather reports and talking to Whitney, we hopped in the car and took a chance that we’d beat the storm there. Fortunately, the risk paid off because it was a gorgeous day! Everyone was out enjoying the sunny (but windy) weather!

It ended up being a beautiful day for engagement photos! We walked around cobblestone streets among the charming historic homes, stopping whenever we found a spot that caught our eye. We ended at the Battery among the live oak trees, which are just so delightfully southern! And we even ran into Whitney’s parents as we were wrapping up the session! Timing was definitely on our side that day! : )
