What an amazing weekend! We celebrated with Megan & Calvin at their wedding at the Prado in Balboa Park, and it was such a beautiful day! Balboa Park is one of the most beautiful places in all of San Diego, and I think it rivals any park in the United States in beauty. It’s easy to see why Megan & Calvin chose this place to celebrate the beginning of their lives as husband and wife! Ah, so many tearful moments throughout the day. We can’t wait to share some of them with you, but for now we hope you’ll enjoy this little preview!
Since Matt & I just booked our trip to Europe for the holidays, I thought it would be fun to do a Christmas in July sale! Once a year we offer our albums at a sale price, so if you are thinking about buying an album for yourself or parent albums for your family, now is the time to do it and save hundreds on your order!
The album sale ends July 31st, but you have until November 1st to approve of your album design in order to receive it in time for the holidays. All of our albums are available in 10×10 or 12×12 size and have the same exact design process. The layouts are all panoramic prints on archival photo paper. We begin with a draft of your album design to give you a place to start, and then you can make changes to ensure the layout is exactly the way you want.
The difference between the albums primarily comes down to two things – binding and page thickness. Our Coffee Table Book has thin pages while the Classic and Luxe albums have thick mounted pages. The Coffee Table Book has a photographic hard cover. The Classic Album includes your choice of high quality fabric or leather and a cameo image. The Luxe Album include two fabrics or leather and a cameo on the cover.
Below are some examples of the different types of albums we offer:
The Luxe Album
(Reg. $1300, sale starting at $975)
The Luxe Album is a flush mount album with luxurious cover options. Customize with two different specialty fabric materials or exotic leathers in a variety of layouts for an album that is uniquely you! Available with or without a cameo image.
The Classic Album
(Reg. $1000, sale starting at $750)
The Classic Album is a flush mount album hand crafted by artisans and made with the highest quality materials and construction. Cover options include your choice of fine fabrics and leathers with a recessed cameo image.
(Reg. $350, sale $262.50 each)
Parent albums are an 8×8 size coffee table book. The design is an exact copy of of the bride and groom album. Parent albums are only available with the purchase of a bride and groom album.
If you are ready to order your albums or if you have questions about the process, email us at email@example.com!
Featured in Baba Lous Beauties | Cleopatra Inspired Shoot with Dianna Prince | San Diego Pinup PhotographersJune 26, 2014
Back in March, I partnered up with pinup model Dianna Prince on a photoshoot inspired by one of the greatest beauties of all time – Cleopatra! The first time Dianna and I worked together, I kept saying how I saw her as Cleopatra, and she said she had been wanting to do a Cleopatra inspired shoot! So we put the plans into motion, and with the help of Make Up By G Dianna Prince channeled the beauty and strength of the Queen of the Nile! And channel it she did! For that day, she WAS Cleopatra! The shoot was so much fun, and we created some of my favorite images ever. I’ve been dying to share this shoot, but we had to keep it secret because it was accepted for a magazine cover! Well, now I am excited to share some of the first images from our shoot, as one of Dianna’s looks is featured in the June 2014 issue of Baba Lous Beauties! Not only was it featured… Dianna is also the cover model! They chose my favorite image from the whole shoot! I can’t wait to share the full shoot, but we are still waiting on the second look to be featured in another publication. But I hope you enjoy this first look at this beautiful shoot! Thanks so much to Dianna Prince for all of your work in planning this shoot and to Make Up By G for creating a flawless look!
Call me biased, but I think southern California is one of the most beautiful places in the world! I love the desert and the coast and all of the mountains! Plus it’s almost July and I needed a light sweater yesterday because it was chilly! We’ve been here almost two years, and we still say “I can’t believe we live here!” I really can’t!
Coming out here, I had some photography must-shoot locations on my wish list. I’ve shot most of them, but one thing I haven’t gotten to shoot yet is the desert wildflowers. With the drought this year, shooting among the wildflowers wasn’t a possibility in the location I wanted to do them. But then I thought “I wonder if we have any lavender fields here?” A quick Google search led me to find Keys Creek Lavender Farm, located less than an hour from me! Because you can find the beach, desert, and snow within an hour or two of here, so why not a lavender farm?! I love this place!
Lucky for me, a group of shoot and share photographers decided to do a photography outing at Keys Creek, so I had the perfect opportunity to shoot there! I’m so thrilled that Wendy and Chris put this event together and brought such an amazing team of models and photographers! One of the models wore a lovely vintage lavender dress from my Etsy shop Sweet Bisou!
Now I get this wonderful location off the wish list (though I’d happily go back there again!). Keys Creek is open to the public for tours and they also do special events like English tea. It’s also a perfect place for a wedding! A huge thanks to everyone involved in this event!

Today’s blog post is extra special! It’s Kaitlin & Alfredo’s wedding at the University of San Diego! We met Kaitlin & Alfredo two years ago at Kirsten & Josh’s wedding. In case you can’t tell from the photos, Kaitlin and Kirsten are sisters! It’s always nice to see past couples at a wedding, but even more so when they are part of the same family! We were so happy to see Kaitlin’s family again, and so excited to meet Alfredo’s family! Their ceremony took place in the stunning USD Founders Chapel, and it was hard to hold back tears watching this special couple say their vows to one another. Their love for each other filled the entire chapel!
After a break in the afternoon, everyone joined the newlyweds to continue the wedding festivities at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse on Harbor Island! With a stunning panoramic view of the bay and downtown, Kaitlin & Alfredo and all of their guests enjoyed an intimate evening filled with music, dancing, great conversation and food, and amazing beverages (including delightfully decorative coffee creations from Coffee Couture). The room was decorated with lovely yellow details, many of which were made personally by Kaitlin! It was such an amazing evening, and a perfect end to a beautiful day! As you can see, everyone had a very fun time! We wish Kaitlin & Alfredo many more days filled with laughter and fond memories like this one!
We’ve been to some pretty amazing weddings, but there are few that I would call epic. Reese & Chad’s wedding at Falkner Winery in Temecula is certainly one of those rare and incredible occasions that went down in the book of epicness! Their celebration took place at a winery, which in itself is pretty rad. They said their vows against the backdrop of vines, cocktail hour took place in the barrel room and the reception featured a panoramic view of the sun setting beyond the mountains. There were plenty of tears flowing, stopped only by bursts of laughter. And the reception… well, the reception took it to a whole new level! We knew that Reese & Chad were a fun couple and we expected it to be a good time, but the evening exceeded all expectations! I think the photos say it all! Too much fun for words!
Above all, Reese & Chad are so madly and insanely in love with each other. I thought that they might just explode with excitement because they were getting married! Not only are they completely adorable, they are also two wonderful people who are just perfect for each other! If this wedding doesn’t give you the feels, I don’t know what will! :)
One of my photography wish list items was to shoot in a lavender field, and yesterday I checked that one off the list! I belong to a group of “shoot and share” photographers, and they organized a group photoshoot at Keys Creek Lavender Farm in Valley Center. It was so much fun getting out and meeting new photographers and shooting in one of the most beautiful places in southern California! It really is a hidden gem and definitely worth a visit! I’d love to go back and check out their store or attend one of their high tea events!
Here’s a little preview from the shoot:
It’s hard to believe that it’s been a month (and a couple days) since Brittney & Dylan’s beautiful Carlsbad wedding at South Ponto Beach! Their ceremony took place at the sundial overlooking the beautiful ocean. Before Brittney made her way down the aisle, she was announced by an adorable sign held by one of the flower girls. The ceremony was heartfelt and sweet with some moments of laughter. Everyone was excited to see these two say “I do!” They concluded the ceremony by walking through a sword arch, where they had to kiss before being able to pass. No trouble for these newlyweds!
Following the ceremony, guests made their way over to Vigiulucci’s for an intimate evening. Guests enjoyed bottle after bottle of wine as they watched the sun set. One of my favorite parts of the day was when Brittney Skyped with her grandma so that she could share in their happiness. Yep, that part caused my heart to melt and a few tears to fall! Afterward, we whisked the bride and groom away to put their toes in the sand and snap some photos of the most amazing sunset! It was such a sweet wedding, and one of the most intimate receptions we’ve ever seen!
We also enjoyed seeing our past couple Roya & JJ at the wedding, and working with their friend Alice from Secret Salon (who did an amazing job on Brittney’s hair and makeup!). Such a fun and memorable day, and we’re excited to share some of the highlights with you! : )
It’s hard to believe that a month ago we were hanging out with Meagan & Steven for their engagement photos in Washington DC, enjoying the beautiful cherry blossoms around the District! It was pretty much a perfect weekend with sunny skies, warm weather and the peak of cherry blossom season! They also brought along their little loves Lola and Dodge, who help complete their sweet little family! We can’t wait for their destination wedding later this year, and we’re so glad that we got a chance to meet up with them before the big day! Aren’t they so adorable together?!
It was such a lovely weekend for a wedding, and Kaitlin & Alfredo’s wedding at the University of San Diego’s Founders Chapel was a beautiful love-filled day! They celebrated with their guests at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse with a breathtaking view of downtown San Diego. It was gorgeous from start to finish and there were so many pretty details! Can’t wait to share more, but here’s a little sneak peek of our sweet and absolutely gorgeous couple!
