To tell the story of Amanda & Aaron, I have to fill you in on a little back story. It begins in 1997 at Edgewater High School where I was part of the chorus. There I met a sweet, bubbly girl named Kristin. She was a junior, and after I graduated we lost touch. But thanks to the power of Facebook, we got reconnected with one another!

Fast forward to 2010, and one of Kristin’s closest friends, Amanda, is marrying the love of her life, Aaron. Kristin passed on our information, and this past weekend we shot their beautiful wedding at the historic Dubsdread Golf Course. Dubsdread also happens to be about a block away from Edgewater High School, so what better place to see Kristin again after 13 years!

When you walk into Dubsdread, it has all the coziness and charm of a ski lodge with dark wood beams and a stone fireplace. It provides such an intimate setting for a wedding reception, and Marie of Peacock Productions really made the ballroom look amazing with fall decor and gorgeous floral arrangements (including Amanda’s stunning bouquet with red peonies). Marie also happens to be Kristin’s mom! : )

The ceremony took place in the courtyard beneath an old oak tree. As Amanda began her long walk, she clung to her father’s arm with tears in her eyes. She waited 8 years to marry Aaron, and the day had finally arrived! Aaron watched as each step brought her closer toward him. After saying their vows and symbolizing their union with a sand ceremony, they sealed their promise with a kiss and became husband and wife.

The celebration continued inside the ballroom with music by Brian Scott of Weddings Only DJ Entertainment. There were some tearful moments, but most of the evening was filled with laughter as friends gave heartwarming and humorous speeches, ladies fought for the bouquet, and Aaron got a little crazy with the wedding cake. It was a great time, and hopefully everything that Amanda & Aaron dreamed of!

I know they are anxiously waiting to see more photos, so in closing I just want to wish them both all the best! Matt and I enjoyed being part of everything! Congratulations!
